Our Hiring Process
At Tassel, we want to ensure that both you and our team feel confident about your fit within the agency. That’s why our hiring process is thorough, transparent, and collaborative. Here’s what you can expect:
1
Apply for the position you’re interested in.
Start by submitting your application for the position you feel best aligns with your skills and interests. Be sure to include relevant links to your resume or LinkedIn profile. Start Your Application
2
Initial video interview with a recruiter.
If your application stands out, a recruiter will reach out to schedule an initial video interview. During this conversation, we’ll ask clarifying questions about your experience, qualifications, and goals. This is also your chance to learn more about the role and the team at a high level. The goal is to assess whether you’d be a good fit for Tassel, and whether we’d be a good fit for you.
3
Second interview with the department team.
If you advance, you’ll meet with the team lead of the department you’d be joining, as well as one or two other team members. This is an opportunity for us to evaluate how your strengths would support our team, but also give you a chance to ask questions specific to the role you’re interested in as you learn more about what each day would look like at Tassel. We want you to feel confident that our culture and values align with yours.
4
Role-specific assignment (if applicable)
For certain positions, we’ll ask you to complete a short assignment to see how well we collaborate together. Examples include:
- If you’re applying for a role on the content team, you may be asked to write a short blog post based on a brief we provide.
- A designer may be asked to create a cut sheet using the content we provide.
This step helps us understand your approach to the kind of work you’d be doing and gives you a feel for the tasks involved in the role. If you’re applying for a senior-level position, you may also be invited to speak with key members of our leadership team. This stage allows us to dive deeper into cultural fit, long-term goals, and the potential impact you can have at Tassel. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any final questions about our company’s direction and leadership philosophy.
5
Job offer
Once we’ve completed the interview process, we’ll follow up with a formal job offer. We’ll give you time to thoughtfully consider the offer, ask any last-minute questions, and confirm that you’re all in to join the Tassel team!
“Working at Tassel since 2001, I’ve been consistently inspired by the company’s commitment to excellence. The open, honest workplace culture encourages dialogue and transparency. Plus, the emphasis on family and work/life balance makes Tassel a rare place where the well-being of employees comes first, not just profit.”
Rob McDorman, 2001
“Here, excellence isn’t just a goal — it’s the standard, and every project, big or small, reflects a deep sense of community and purpose. It’s incredibly rewarding to work alongside colleagues I respect, using my experience to support schools and make a meaningful impact in Christian education.”
Rudi Gesch, 2022
“Since 2014, I’ve valued Tassel’s commitment to excellence, especially in my work with finances where efficiency and accuracy are key. The culture here is all about supporting each other and delivering outstanding results for our clients.”
Misha Faust, 2014
“Tassel has been an open door for me to share my gifts and meet so many great people both internally and our clients. I initially had challenges adapting to life in the US because of language and cultural differences. Tassel has provided me with opportunities to consistently embrace this new culture, grow in my skills, share my expertise, and interact with clients all over the country.”
Angeline Gormley, 2022
“I’ve seen firsthand how our commitment to clarity shapes our success. Clarity in our goals keeps everyone aligned and fosters a strong, unified team spirit. The most rewarding part has been watching client enrollment grow and seeing their excitement about the work we do — it’s a powerful reminder of the impact we make together.”
